Slides need more cohesion. Lectures cover few topics, textbook covers more. Reasonable assignments. Ngl AP Psych carried me since I didn't put in same amount of effort as other classes. Memorization heavy like 102. All exams non-cumulative (bless) and worth 25% each. Overall he's nice and okay lecturer.

Dr. Clark is great and fairly straightforward with content during lectures. I found that he rambled on a bit sometimes but overall lectures were fine and the midterm questions were all pretty fair.

Unlike most PSYC 101 lectures, Professor Clark really uses lectures as a chance for us to just get exposed to the content. No papers, no difficult assignments, tests are open-book, non-cumulative, and online. His lecture delivery is slow, but he's passionate about the content. His section is a great way to enter psychology without the extra work!

Great professor but make sure to read the textbook because that's what you mainly get tested on! Overall, it was great class (3 midterms- all online, no final) and wasn't too hard. The content was fun to learn and he makes it even better!

One of the best profs I've had so far. Expectations for midterms and final exam were clear and also open book + non-cumulative final which was nice. All lectures were recorded (bless). Talks a bit slow but I didn't mind. Practices quizzes available on learning curve website.

Professor Clark talks very slowly and his slides don't have much text which is a bit difficult to follow, especially if you doze off in class (very likely). Both midterms and final were open book online exams though, so honestly it would be difficult not to get a good grade in the course.

For Psyc100, he made the midterms and final online and open book. They were too difficult and focused on details barely relevant to the main concepts of the course. What's testable is on the slides however you basically need to memorize every study on his slides and the entire textbook to get the midterms done without running short on time.

One of the best profs in PSYC! Classes were all recorded + MT 1 and 2 were online open-book. Paper and final exam were long answers, but it was easy to get grades as long as you followed guidelines. Interesting topic, and prof is very passionate about content and teaching overall. Very wholesome!

Dr. Clark is passionate and knowledgeable about the subject and also genuinely cares about his students. I'm not a cognitive science person but the way Dr. Clark explains the material makes it easy to understand. Exams are time-limited and questions can be a bit tricky so you need to be really familiar with the material to do well.

I think Professor Clark is a really nice guy and seems to be very interested in what he was teaching. I found that the lectures weren't very helpful and that the slides did not contain enough detail on the testable material. I found reading the textbook to be more helpful in my understanding of the course content.

Honestly, I was surprised to see that there are negative comments about Dr. Clark. He was an outstanding professor in my opinion. His lectures were absolutely amazing and he explained difficult concepts so clearly! He is very caring, funny and you can really tell he absolutely loves his job and teaching. I truly wish he would teach more classes..

Dr. Clark is an amazing instructor who is deeply interested in the material he teaches. There is a certain charm and elegance about Clark's lecturing that makes class material engaging. Exams are very fair (no surprises) and he provides many chances to receive easy points. No textbook, very organized, clear, and caring of students. Great experience

Professor Clark is hands down the best professor I've had in UBC! He is very caring, yet very concise and clear with his lectures. Although sometimes it is slow, its very helpful for students' learning as he explains things really well. His grading criteria and Canvas page is one of the most organized I've seen. Overall, 10/10 would take again!

Luke is just a really great guy, funny, caring and just here for a good time. No textbook for this class which is amazing and all the content is extremely interesting and will most likely blow your mind. He's also extremely passionate on the subject, and you can just tell how excited he gets when students ask him questions on his work.

I personally thought that his lectures were too slow (I played everything at 2x speed and all I could think about was why there wasn't a 3x option), but that doesn't change the fact that Luke was one of most understanding (if not the only) profs when it came to fairness/ how the pandemic has affected our lives. Would recommend.
