Made with the cheapest potatoes ever from the freezer, your family will love it!(also I added Ham last time I made it)

8. Homemade Potato Hash Browns

I don’t have a picture of this but this is what you do to make Homemade Potato Hash Browns. Fresh Hash Browns are delicious and even better when you season them with fresh herbs! You can make crispy potatoes or softer potatoes…either way, they are delish!

  • Bake as many potatoes as you want ~ check here for how to make the perfect baked potato.
  • Grate baked potatoes into a frying pan lightly coated with vegetable oil or olive oil.
  • If using raw potatoes, simply cut them up into cubes. Make sure they are sort of the same size so that they cook evenly.
  • If you choose to grate your raw potatoes, be sure and put them into a strainer and squeeze some of the starchy liquid out before cooking. (otherwise, they will become mushy)
  • Cook over medium heat…turning frequently. You CAN add a lid onto your frying pan and this will help to cook them a little faster. It will take about 20 Minutes for your cubed potatoes to cook from raw.

I haven’t made Homemade Chilli Fries for a long time! They are so easy though and so deelish! We like to make Homemade Steak Fries and top with chili (we usually use canned chili) then top with Cheddar Cheese. We put them in the microwave or oven to melt the cheese and top with green onions. YUM!!

Ok here is another one I forgot to take a picture of while I was making Twice Baked Potatoes! UGG…I’ll get one up soon as I make these often. All you do is bake your potatoes. Then cut them in half and hollow out the inside the halves of the potato into a bowl. Mash them as you would mashed potatoes. Then refill the hollowed-out potatoes and bake for 20 minutes at 375 Degrees.

You can make these as loaded twice-baked potatoes by adding bacon, cheese, and sour cream…the sky is the limit! Add what you like. Simply add your extras before you put your mashed potatoes back into the hollowed-out potato skins.

13. Boiled Dill Red Baby Potatoes

Boiled Dill Red Baby Potatoes are another one of those quick easy potato recipes that I make all the time. You can either cook them whole or cut them in half… with the skin on I boil until done.

Then I drain the water and add butter and add a little Dill. Toss and add salt and pepper to taste. That’s it! They are delish! An easy way to dress up plain potatoes!

14. Mashed Potatoes

I need to do a little tutorial on making mashed potatoes! Here’s all you do:

  • Peel your potatoes
  • Boil them until the are firm but soft
  • Add a LITTLE milk…start with a little then you can add more if needed.
  • Add some butter, salt and pepper to taste.
  • You can make mashed potatoes with peels on or off…we love them both!
